Warranty Policy
Lobster Sports is proud to offer the only 2-year warranty in the industry giving you the piece of mind that has become synonymous with Lobster Sports. Each Elite battery-operated tennis ball machine is assembled onsite at our California office and manufacturing facility and our pneumatic electric-operated tennis ball machine lines are manufactured in New Jersey. Quality control checks are performed at each step of the process, testing each part for durability and dependability. Each ball machine is then rigorously operated before carefully being packaged for shipment to our customers.

Warranty Information
Limited Warranty: Lobster Sports warrants that each Lobster Sports ball machine purchased will be free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase except for the battery which is warranted for 6 months. Demonstration models and reconditioned machines have a 1 year warranty. Said warranty to be determined by Lobster Sports at time of purchase. Any part of the ball machine, which proves to be defective in material or workmanship within the 2 year warranty period will be repaired or replaced at Lobster Sport's option with a new or functionally operative part. This warranty is extended only to the original customer of the Lobster Sports ball machine and may be enforced only by such person.
This warranty does not cover the following conditions:
- Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, alteration, accidents, tampering, abuse, fire, war, insurrection, civil disorder, flood, acts of God or any other casualty;
- Failure of Customer to properly follow operating instructions provided by Lobster Sports at time of delivery; and
- Damage caused by use on circuits or voltages other than indicated on the applicable nameplate.
This limited warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose shall coincide in duration with the 2 year limited warranty. The exclusive remedy of the Customer hereunder shall be repair or replacement as stated above. Under no circumstances shall Lobster Sports be liable to the Customer or any other person for incidental or consequential damages of any nature, including, without limitation, damage for personal injury or damages to property; and however occasioned, whether alleged as resulting from breach of warranty by Lobster Sports, the negligence of Lobster Sports.
No agent, employee or representative of Lobster Sports or any other person is authorized to modify this warranty in any respect. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary, from state to state.
This limited warranty is void unless you complete and return the warranty response form to Lobster Sports within 30 days of receipt of the ball machine. The warranty card can be found in the accompanying manual.
Optional Extended Warranty
An optional Lobster tennis ball machine extended warranty is available within the first sixty (60) days from purchase. Lobster Sports warrants each Lobster ball machine purchased will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the extended period that will run consecutively from the end of the original warranty period. It does not cover parts worn under normal use, specifically the battery, throwing wheels, and detent.

Damage Incurred from UPS or DHL Delivery
From time to time, UPS or DHL may damage a box during transit. If there is damage to the exterior of the box or to the interior components, please contact us immediately and save all packaging materials! We will contact the shipper to establish the claim, who will then set up a time with you to perform an inspection of the package and contents. This is essential before any claim can be resolved. Once the shipping vendor validates the claim, the package will be picked up to be returned to us. We will then immediately ship your new replacement machine.
Warranty Service
In the event your ball machine is in need of service within the warranty period, it is required that you contact us to obtain a Return Authorization. A Customer Service Representative will assign a return authorization number and provide you with paperwork and information necessary for packaging and shipping of your Lobster to the proper factory. All shipping costs for shipments to the appropriate factory are the responsibility of the customer. Lobster Sports will repair the machine and ship the machine back using our UPS Ground service at no charge under the Warranty Service.
Repair Service
If your Lobster Sports tennis ball machine is in need of repair and the machine is outside the warranty period it is required that you contact us at to obtain a Return Authorization. A Customer Service Representative will assign a return authorization number and provide you with paperwork and information necessary for packaging and shipping of your Lobster to the proper factory. All shipping costs for shipments to the appropriate factory are the responsibility of the customer. Upon receiving your machine at the factory, Lobster Sports will determine the necessary repairs needed and will provide you with an estimate including the shipping costs to return the machine to you.

Does the 2 Year Warranty Really Matter?
Why would one company offer a two-year warranty and another company offer a 1 year warranty? Lobster has so much confidence in its products that it can afford to offer a 2 year warranty. Ask yourself why our competition doesn't have equal confidence in the durability of its products.
When comparing purchase prices between machines, you should consider the two year warranty carefully. The cost of ownership will quickly rise if the machine breaks down soon after the warranty expires. Imagine owning a machine for 14 months, it malfunctions and now you are out $50 to ship it to the factory at least $100-$200 to fix it and $50 to ship it home. A $300 repair bill might make you think twice about the true cost of purchasing that 1 year warranty machine.
Finally, consider that Lobster Sports, Inc has been in business for 37 years – that means we were in business for 20 years before our competition even considered opening its doors. Quality isn't some new found commitment, it is part of who we are and have been for generations. When you buy a Lobster ball machine, you purchase peace of mind because you know you have bought a product built for life.
